Abstract

A ceiling system includes a plurality of beams arranged in an intersecting manner to form a lattice, the plurality of beams intersecting one another at beam intersection nodes, each of the plurality of beams extending along a longitudinal beam axis from a first end to a second end and having a bottom, a top, a first side surface extending upward from the bottom to the top, a second side surface opposite the first side surface and extending upward from the bottom to the top, and a transverse width measured from the first side surface to the second side surface. The transverse width of at least one of the plurality of beams varies along the longitudinal beam axis for at least a section of the at least one of the plurality of beams.

Dependent claims

A ceiling system comprising:

a plurality of beams arranged in an intersecting manner to form a lattice, the plurality of beams intersecting one another at beam intersection nodes, each of the plurality of beams extending along a longitudinal beam axis from a first end to a second end and comprising:
a bottom;
a top;
a first side surface extending upward from the bottom to the top;
a second side surface opposite the first side surface and extending upward from the bottom to the top;
and
a transverse width measured from the first side surface to the second side surface;
and
wherein the transverse width of at least one of the plurality of beams varies along the longitudinal beam axis for at least a section of the at least one of the plurality of beams.
