The invention relates to a ceiling-mountable system (1), comprising at least one attachment rail (20), with a first profile portion (21) having a longitudinal extent and a second profile portion (22) extending perpendicular to the first profile portion (21); at least one functional element (10), having a longitudinal extent aligned substantially orthogonal to the attachment rail (20) and at least one slot-shaped recess (12) provided in a side face facing the attachment rail (20); and at least one mounting element (30), the mounting element (30) having a first portion positively insertable into the slot-shaped recess (12) and a second portion (34) which extends perpendicular to the first portion, is displaceable relative to the first portion and connected in the first portion (32), and can be brought into engagement with the attachment rail (20), as well as to a method for mounting a ceiling-mountable system (1).
