Abstract
Metal profile for a suspended ceiling, comprising, in a double-wall configuration, a main portion and an integral coupling element connected as one piece to at least one end of said main portion, wherein the main portion and the integral coupling element define a direction of longitudinal extension of the metal profile. The main portion comprises a slot. The integral coupling element includes a plate-like portion defining a plane and at least one coupling fin and at least one locking fin made as one piece with the plate-like portion, wherein the coupling fin protrudes from the plane defined by the plate-like portion and the locking fin protrudes from the plane defined by the plate-like portion.
Claims14
A metal profile for a suspended ceiling, comprising, in a double-wall configuration, a main portion and an integral coupling element connected as one piece to at least one end of said main portion, wherein said main portion and said integral coupling element define a direction of longitudinal extension of said metal profile, wherein said integral coupling element includes a plate-like portion which extends in the direction of longitudinal extension towards a free edge end, said plate-like portion defining a plane and at least one coupling fin and at least one locking fin made as one piece with said plate-like portion,
- wherein said coupling fin protrudes from the plane defined by said plate-like portion and said locking fin protrudes from the plane defined by said plate-like portion,
- wherein said coupling fin defines a coupling axis and is configured to interfere with another metal profile in a coupling condition,
- wherein said locking fin defines a locking axis and is configured to interfere with another integral coupling element of another metal profile in a locking condition, and
- wherein said coupling fin and said locking fin project from opposite sides of the plane defined by said plate-like portion and said coupling fin and said locking fin are offset with respect to each other, and wherein said coupling axis and said locking axis extend parallel along said direction of longitudinal extension of the respective metal profile, spaced from each other,
- and wherein said plate-like portion has a counter-locking recess arranged on said locking axis and able to receive a locking fin of another metal profile identical to said metal profile for a suspended ceiling so as to produce a locking condition, said counter-locking recess being arranged in a position closer to the free edge end of said plate-like portion than the locking fin.
