Abstract
A steel material according to the present disclosure has a chemical composition consisting of, in mass %, C: 0.20 to 0.60%, Si: 0.05 to 1.00%, Mn: 0.20 to 1.00%, P: 0.030% or less, S: 0.0300% or less, Cr 5.60 to 7.00%, Mo: 1.00 to 4.00%, V: 0.10 to 1.50%, sol. Al: 0.0005 to 0.1000%, N: 0.0050 to 0.0500%, and the balance: Fe and impurities. In the steel material, a total area fraction of martensite and bainite is 99% or more, an average grain size of prior-austenite grains is 150 μm or less, a content of Cr contained in a residue extracted from the steel material by an electrolytic extraction method is 0.5 to 3.0% in mass %, and a content of Mo contained in the residue is 0.2 to 2.0% in mass %.
