Abstract
A glycerol dehydratase variant and a use thereof are disclosed. A fusion glycerol dehydratase variant exhibit excellent activity even under low concentrations coenzyme B12 condition by alleviating inactivation of coenzyme B12 by oxygen or improves activity for glycerol, which is a substrate. The fusion glycerol dehydratase variant, thus, exhibits excellent activity even under conditions of low coenzyme B12 concentration.
Claims15
A recombinant glycerol dehydratase variant comprising a fusion of an alpha subunit and a beta subunit of glycerol dehydratase (GDHt),
- wherein the recombinant glycerol dehydratase variant comprises a substitution of at least one amino acid residue selected from the group consisting of:
- G19, L29, A177, A207, Y271, and V455 of the alpha subunit represented by SEQ ID NO:
- 1;
