Injectable rapid-cure two-part composition

Abstract

The present teachings generally relate to a two-part adhesive and a method for injecting the same. The two-part adhesive comprises a first part and a second part. The first part includes one or more epoxy resins and/or epoxy-functionalized resins. Tire second part includes one or more acidic phosphorous-containing compounds including mineral acid and/or one or more acidic phosphate esters. Preferably, the first and second parts each have a viscosity of about 30,000 cP or less at 25° C. and a shear rate of 10 l/sec such that, after mixing the first and second parts fonning a mixed adhesive, the mixed adhesive can be injected into a bond line defined by a dimension between two surfaces to be adhered by the mixed adhesive.
