Abstract
Disclosed is a powder coating composition comprising an epoxy resin, and a phenolic resin. Also disclosed is a coated substrate comprising a coating layer, wherein the coating layer is deposited from a powder coating composition comprising an epoxy resin, and a phenolic resin.

A powder coating composition, comprising an epoxy resin and a phenolic resin, wherein:
- epoxy groups in the epoxy resin are configured to react with phenolic hydroxyl groups in the phenolic resin;
- and
- a molar ratio of the epoxy group in the epoxy resin to the phenolic hydroxyl group in the phenolic resin is 0.3:1 to 1.2:1.
