Abstract
A flame retardant system that contains an N-alkyl type hindered amine compound and imparts excellent flame retardancy to synthetic resins. The flame retardant system includes (A) a hindered amine compound represented by general formula (1): wherein R1 represents a carbonyl group, etc.; R2 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms; and R3, R4, R5, and R6 are each independently an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.

A flame retardant system comprising (A) a hindered amine compound represented by general formula (1):
- wherein R1 represents a group of formula (2), (3), or (4) below;
- R2 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms;
- and R3, R4, R5, and R6 each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms:
- wherein R7 and R8 each independently represent a direct bond or a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms;
- and the asterisk represents a bonding site.
