Abstract
A medium transport apparatus includes a feeding section that comes into contact with a lowermost recording medium in a stacked state and that feeds the recording medium to a post-processing apparatus, an abutment portion against which leading ends of recording media stacked on the feeding section in a feeding direction abut and that allows a lower recording medium among plural stacked recording media to be fed to the post-processing apparatus, and a pressing portion that presses base ends of the recording media stacked on the feeding section toward the abutment portion and that bends the stacked recording media.

A medium transport apparatus comprising:
- a feeding section that comes into contact with a lowermost recording medium in a stacked state and that feeds the recording medium to a post-processing apparatus;
- an abutment portion against which leading ends of recording media stacked on the feeding section in a feeding direction abut and that allows a lower recording medium among a plurality of the stacked recording media to be fed to the post-processing apparatus;
- and
- a pressing portion that presses base ends of the recording media stacked on the feeding section toward the abutment portion and that bends the stacked recording media.
