Claims20
A sterilization cover comprising:
- an opaque portion;
- a substantially transparent portion joined to the opaque portion by a heat seal, an ultrasonic weld, an infrared weld, or a combination thereof, the substantially transparent portion and the opaque portion together defining a cover having a perimeter;
- and
- an elastic member disposed about the perimeter of the cover, wherein the substantially transparent portion is capable of remaining substantially transparent when exposed to steam at a sterilization temperature equal to or greater than 121° C.

A sterilization cover comprising:
- a substantially opaque portion comprising a nonwoven spunbond polyolefin;
- a substantially transparent portion comprising a polyethylene, the substantially transparent portion joined to the opaque portion by a heat seal and comprising about 10% to about 80% of a total surface area of the cover;
- an elastic member disposed about a perimeter of the cover;
- and
- an antioxidant, a stabilizer, an antifogging compound, or a combination thereof disposed in the substantially transparent portion,
- wherein the substantially transparent portion is capable of remaining substantially transparent when exposed to steam at a sterilization temperature equal to or greater than 121° C.

A sterilization cover comprising:
- a substantially opaque portion having a circular perimeter and comprising a nonwoven spunbond polyolefin;
- a substantially transparent portion having a circular profile, comprising a low-density polyethylene or a high-density polyethylene, and joined to the opaque portion by a heat seal, the substantially transparent portion being concentric with the circular perimeter of the opaque portion and comprising about 11% to about 50% of a total surface area of the cover;
- an antifogging compound disposed in the substantially transparent portion;
- and
- an elastic member disposed about the circular perimeter, wherein the substantially transparent portion is capable of remaining substantially transparent when exposed to steam at a sterilization temperature of from 121° C. to 135° C.
