Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and a system for monitoring ultralight aircraft, said system including a set of sensors to detect information about the flight envelope and engine operation; a communication bus to channel the readings from all the sensors; a control unit connected to the communication bus to determine the presence of anomalies in the event that any of the received readings exceeds thresholds pre-set by a user for each parameter; and a wireless communication module to transmit a monitoring data block including the sensor readings and the detected anomalies to a remote server via a mobile connection network.
Claims17
A system for monitoring an ultralight aircraft, comprising:
- a first set of sensors configured to detect at least a first parameter with information about the flight envelope of the ultralight aircraft;
- a second set of sensors configured to detect at least a second parameter with information about engine operation of the ultralight aircraft;
- a communication bus configured to receive readings from both the first and second set of sensors;
- a control unit connected to the communication bus, configured to receive readings received from the communication bus and determine the presence of an anomaly in the event that any of the received readings exceeds thresholds pre-set by a user for each parameter;
- and
- a wireless communication module configured to transmit a monitoring data block comprising the readings from the first and second set of sensors and the anomalies determined by the control unit for each parameter to a remote server via a mobile connection network.
A method for monitoring an ultralight aircraft, comprising:
- detecting, by a first set of sensors, at least a first parameter with information about the flight envelope of the ultralight aircraft;
- detecting, by a second set of sensors, at least a second parameter with information about engine operation of the ultralight aircraft;
- receiving, by a communication bus, readings from both the first and second set of sensors;
- receiving, by a control unit, the readings from the communication bus;
- determining, by the control unit, the presence of an anomaly in the event that any of the received readings exceeds thresholds pre-set by a user for each parameter;
- and
- transmitting, by a wireless communication module, a monitoring data block comprising the readings from the first and second set of sensors and the anomalies detected by the control unit for each parameter to a remote server via a mobile connection network.
