Abstract
A hydrogen tank of or for an aircraft. The hydrogen tank has an inner hull bordering a tank space to be filled with liquid hydrogen, an outer hull encasing the inner hull with an insulation layer in-between, and a tank reinforcement structure. The tank reinforcement structure has one or various rib/s which is/are attached to the outer hull and/or to the inner hull, and which include/s a lattice configuration forming an energy absorbing structure. Also a method of producing such a hydrogen tank, and a fuselage comprising such a hydrogen tank.

A hydrogen tank of or for an aircraft, the hydrogen tank comprising:
- an inner hull bordering a tank space to be filled with liquid hydrogen;
- an outer hull encasing the inner hull;
- an insulation layer between the inner hull and the outer hull;
- and
- a tank reinforcement structure comprising a plurality of ribs attached the outer hull, the inner hull, or both
- wherein the plurality of ribs comprises a lattice configuration forming an energy absorbing structure.
