Abstract
A vehicle includes a sensor to detect distances to objects around the vehicle; and a controller to determine a size of a preferred parking space of the driver based on the distances at a parking position changed within a preset time after use of an autonomous parking system controlling a parking process, and to output at least one of spaces that satisfy the size based on information obtained through the sensor.

A vehicle comprising:
- a sensor configured to detect distances to objects around the vehicle;
- and
- a controller configured to determine a size of a preferred parking space of a driver based on the distances at a parking position changed within a preset time after use of an autonomous parking system controlling a parking process, and configured to output at least one of spaces that satisfy the size based on information obtained through the sensor.
A method for determining parking space, the method comprising:
- determining, by a controller, a size of a preferred parking space of a driver based on distances to objects around a vehicle detected by a sensor at a parking position changed within a preset time after use of an autonomous parking system controlling a parking process;
- and
- outputting, by the controller, at least one of spaces that satisfy the size based on information obtained through the sensor.
