Abstract
A vehicle including a license plate, a transceiver, and a processor is disclosed. The transceiver may receive an image of the license plate from an external device. The processor may obtain the image of the license plate from the transceiver and determine if the license plate is dirty based on the image. Responsive to a determination that the license plate is dirty, the processor may perform a predetermined action to clean the license plate.

A first vehicle comprising:
- a license plate;
- a transceiver configured to receive a first image of the license plate from an external device;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- obtain the first image from the transceiver;
- determine if the license plate is dirty based on the first image;
- and
- perform a first predetermined action to clean the license plate responsive to a determination that the license plate is dirty.

- transmit a request to the external device to capture the image of the license plate;
