Abstract
A restraint system for installation in a backrest of a motor vehicle, wherein the restraint system has an airbag, wherein the airbag is configured to restrain an occupant behind the backrest. The restraint system has a radar sensor which is configured to detect an occupant behind the backrest. The invention further relates to a corresponding vehicle seat and to a corresponding control method.
