Abstract
A method for manufacturing a vehicle part, the method including successive steps of preparing a decorative film by providing it with a first area including at least one decorative pattern, and a second area including a transparent or translucent window extending through the entire thickness of the decorative film, assembling the decorative film with electronic paper so that the electronic paper extends, at least in part, opposite the transparent or translucent window of the decorative film, and bonding the assembly of the decorative film and the electronic paper to a substrate made of plastic material.

A method for manufacturing a vehicle part, comprising steps of:
- a) preparing a decorative film by providing it with a first area comprising at least one decorative pattern, and a second area comprising a transparent or translucent window extending through an entire thickness of the decorative film,
- b) assembling the decorative film with electronic paper so that the electronic paper extends, at least in part, opposite the transparent or translucent window of the decorative film, and
- c) bonding the assembly of the decorative film and electronic paper to a molded plastic substrate.
A vehicle part, comprising:
- a decorative film having a first area comprising at least one decorative pattern, and a second area comprising a transparent or translucent window extending through an entire thickness of the decorative film,
- electronic paper assembled with the decorative film, the electronic paper extending, at least in part, opposite the transparent or translucent window of the decorative film, and
- a substrate made of molded plastic, to which the assembly of the decorative film and the electronic paper is bonded.
