Shade apparatus for vehicles

A shade apparatus for vehicles that is provided on a roof of a vehicle, winds a shade around a winding member, and draws the shade from the winding member, the shade apparatus for vehicles comprising:

• paired shoes provided at corresponding side end portions of the shade;
• paired guide members extending in a longitudinal direction and each including a guide chamber opened on one side in a width direction;
• a string inserted into the guide chamber of each of the guide members and connected to a distal end portion of the shade;
• and
• a drive device that pulls the string to separate the distal end portion of the shade from the winding member, wherein
• the side end portion of the shade is folded to an opening side of the guide chamber,
• each of the shoes includes an insertion portion to be inserted into a folded side end portion of the shade, and
• the folded side end portion of the shade and the insertion portion of each of the shoes are inserted into the guide chamber of each of the guide members and are slidably supported by each of the guide members.
