High load capacity tire having tear-resistant sidewalls

Abstract

The tire (10) for a passenger vehicle comprises a crown (12), two beads (32), and two sidewalls (30) connecting each bead (32) to the crown (12). The tire (10) is of HIGH LOAD CAPACITY type as defined in the 2021 ETRTO Standards Manual. At least one of the two sidewalls (30) comprises an elastomer composition based on at least one elastomer matrix, at least one reinforcing filler, and at least one rubber crumb. The sum of the content of reinforcing filler and the content of rubber crumb is greater than or equal to 30 phr. The weight ratio between the content of rubber crumb expressed in phr and the content of reinforcing filler expressed in phr is within a range from 0.20 to 1.50.
