A decorative panel includes a top surface and one or more sides, with a substrate forming at least half the weight of the panel. The substrate is made of a copolymer of unsaturated polyester and contains at least four parts filler per part of the copolymer. The substrate features an integrated motif of differently colored regions that span the full thickness, depicting stone vein patterns of marble. The motif appears to change continuously across the thickness when viewed in horizontal cross sections. The colored regions shift boundary positions between different cross sections, creating a sideways sweeping effect. This boundary movement in the horizontal cross sections is less than twice the vertical distance between them.
A decorative panel having a top surface and one or more sides, said decorative panel comprising a substrate, said substrate having a thickness, forming at least half the weight of the decorative panel and comprising a copolymer of unsaturated polyester and at least 4 weight parts of filler material per weight part of the copolymer, wherein said substrate comprises an integrated motif formed by a plurality of differently colored regions present at the top surface and continuously extending throughout the thickness of the substrate, wherein the integrated motif shows the image of stone veins of a marble, wherein the integrated motif, as seen in horizontal cross sections, is continuously changing throughout the thickness with said colored regions having a boundary at a first position in a first cross section and at a second position in a second cross section, wherein the difference between said first position and said second position defines a sideways sweeping of said boundary, wherein said sideways sweeping is less than twice the vertical distance between said first horizontal cross sections and said second horizontal cross section.
