A pretreatment apparatus includes: a pressure roller to apply pressure to a medium; a pretreatment head to discharge a pretreatment liquid toward the pressure roller; and a heater, on the pressure roller, to heat the pretreatment liquid discharged onto the heater.

- a pressure roller to apply pressure to a medium;
- a pretreatment head to discharge a pretreatment liquid toward the pressure roller;

- a heater, on the pressure roller, to heat the pretreatment liquid discharged onto the heater.
