Maintenance unit and liquid ejection apparatus

A maintenance unit to be used in a liquid ejection apparatus including a liquid ejection unit, the maintenance unit comprising:

• a maintenance part configured to perform maintenance on the liquid ejection unit;
• a movement mechanism configured to move the maintenance part in a first direction toward the liquid ejection unit;
• and
• a positioning part, wherein
• the maintenance part includes an engaging portion engageable with the positioning part,
• the movement mechanism includes a drive unit and a support configured to move in the first direction by power of the drive unit and support the maintenance part, and
• the positioning part engages with the engaging portion of the maintenance part that is moved in the first direction together with the support, and moves the maintenance part relative to the support in a direction parallel to the first direction to position the maintenance part with respect to the liquid ejection unit.
