Abstract

A power tool includes a motor, a housing, a handle, and a controller. The handle is detachably attached to a plurality of handle attachment portions. The controller is configured to control driving of the motor. The handle includes a main body portion and a shaft portion. The main body portion includes a grip portion configured to be grippable by a user. The shaft portion is configured to be disposed at a protruding position of protruding from the main body portion toward the plurality of handle attachment portions. The housing includes a detection mechanism including a plurality of detection portions pressed by the shaft portion disposed at the protruding position when the handle is attached to the plurality of handle attachment portions. The detection mechanism outputs a signal, to the controller, in response to the plurality of detection portions being pressed by the shaft portion.

Dependent claims

A power tool comprising:

a motor including an output shaft configured to rotate around a motor rotation axis;
a housing the motor, and including a plurality of handle attachment portions;
a handle extending in one direction, and detachably attached to any one of the plurality of handle attachment portions;
and
a controller configured to control driving of the motor, wherein
the handle includes
a main body portion including a grip portion configured to be grippable by a user, and
a shaft portion configured to be movable to a protruding position in which the shaft portion protrudes from the main body portion toward the plurality of handle attachment portions,
the housing includes a detection mechanism including a plurality of detection portions corresponding to the plurality of handle attachment portions, the plurality of detection portions being pressed by the shaft portion disposed at the protruding position when the handle is attached to the plurality of handle attachment portions, and
the detection mechanism outputs a signal to the controller, in response to the plurality of detection portions being pressed by the shaft portion.

A power tool comprising:

a housing including a plurality of handle attachment portions;
and
a handle extending in one direction, and detachably attached to any one of the plurality of handle attachment portions, wherein
the handle includes
a main body portion including a grip portion configured to be grippable by a user, and
a fixing mechanism configured to be switchable between a fixing state of fixing the handle attached to the plurality of handle attachment portions, and a non-fixing state in which the handle is removable from the plurality of handle attachment portions,
the fixing mechanism includes (i) an operation portion configured to be switchable between a first position and a second position closer to the main body portion than the first position, and (ii) a fixing portion, and
the fixing portion is (i) configured to be disposed at an attaching position when the operation portion is disposed at the second position, the handle being attachable to the plurality of handle attachment portions at the attaching position, and (ii) configured to be disposed at a fixing position when the operation portion is disposed at the first position, the fixing position being a position of fixing the handle attached to the plurality of handle attachment portions.
