A compact hand-held multi-tool includes a housing supporting an axle that carries multiple tools pivotable between stored and use positions. A locking mechanism selectively retains tools in the stored and/or use positions, and a user-operable release can bias a selected tool outward for grasping. In some embodiments, paired housings are hinged to actuate tweezers or scissors by relative housing movement. The housing may define an accessory bay receiving a removable accessory module that electrically couples to internal circuitry via a connector; the module may carry an LED, a memory device, charge-management circuitry, a rechargeable cell, and a charging interface. A port can operatively couple an external electronic accessory. The tool set can include grooming implements (e.g., clippers, a file, scissors, tweezers, a toothpick) and miniature hand tools (e.g., a screwdriver, a bottle opener). Variants support user reconfiguration, sealed constructions, and compact carry.
