Abstract
According to the invention there is provided a method of cleaning a lug of a battery plate, the method comprising: providing a battery plate comprising a lug having a first side and a second side; and using one or more laser sources to apply laser light to the lug in order to clean the first and second sides of the lug; wherein the step of applying laser light to the lug occurs between the steps of enveloping the battery plate and stacking the battery plate of a battery plate assembly process.

A method of cleaning a lug of a battery plate, the method comprising:
- providing a battery plate comprising a lug having a first side and a second side;
- and
- using one or more laser sources to apply laser light to the lug in order to clean the first and second sides of the lug;
- wherein the step of applying laser light to the lug occurs between the steps of enveloping the battery plate and stacking the battery plate of a battery plate assembly process.
