Welding system with support base

A wire feeder, comprising:

• a wire supply support configured to supply welding wire;
• a wire drive assembly configured to feed wire to a welding gun from the wire supply support;
• a support plate defining a lower surface, the wire supply support and the wire drive assembly mounted to the support plate, the support plate being pivotable from a storage position to a travel position;
• a handle at a first end of the support plate;
• a plurality of rollers extending from a lower surface of the support plate and configured to reduce a movement resistance of the wire feeder over a support surface when the support plate is in the travel position;
• and
• a support stand extending from the first end of the support plate or a second end of the support plate, and configured to support the wire feeder in a stored position,
• wherein the support plate is pivotable between:
• the stored position in which the support stand is in contact with the support surface and the rollers are not in contact with the support surface;
• and
• the travel position in which the rollers are in contact with the support surface.
