Tube expansion tool

A tube expansion tool for expanding an end portion of a fluid pipe, comprising:

• an electric motor with a rotor, the electric motor housed in a main body housing;
• a controller configured to switch an output shaft of the electric motor between forward rotation and reverse rotation;
• a female screw member configured to be rotatable by the output shaft of the electric motor;
• a screw shaft configured to move forward and rearward between an initial position, which is located rearward, and an end position, which is located forward, by engagement with and rotation of the female screw member;
• a wedge extending forward from the screw shaft;
• and
• a plurality of jaws coupled to the main body housing so as to be openable and closable, wherein when the wedge moves forward integrally with the screw shaft, the wedge pushes the plurality of jaws such that each jaw of the plurality of jaws opens radially outward;
• and
• at least one of an initial position sensor configured to detect whether the screw shaft is at an initial position and an end position sensor configured to detect whether the screw shaft is at an end position, the at least one sensor being configured to transmit a corresponding signal to the controller, wherein:
• the initial position sensor, when provided, is configured to be movable in a front-rear direction, whereby movement of the initial position sensor adjusts the initial position of the screw shaft;
• and
• the end position sensor, when provided, is configured to be movable in the front-rear direction, whereby movement of the end position sensor adjusts the end position of the screw shaft.
