Base station for a floor cleaner

Abstract

A method for cleaning and/or disinfecting a mopping textile of a cleaning appliance in a base station. A defined amount of cleaning or disinfecting fluid is supplied, in a pulsating feed, to the mopping textile for a predetermined first period of time. The mopping textile is moved over mechanical structures in order to squeeze dirt and also excess fluid out of the mopping textile and to discharge the dirt and excess fluid into a collecting facility. The fluid is stopped and the movement of the mopping textile over the mechanical structures is continued for a predetermined second period of time. The first period of time is shorter than the subsequent second period of time. There is also disclosed a cleaning and/or disinfecting station for cleaning and/or disinfecting a mopping textile of a cleaning appliance, and a cleaning and/or disinfecting system with such a cleaning and/or disinfecting station.
