Abstract
A sprayer for attachment to a hose includes an inlet for introducing fluid into the sprayer, an outlet for discharging fluid from the sprayer, a first controller to control the flow of fluid from the inlet to the outlet, a first fluid path located between the first controller and the outlet, a second fluid path fluidly connectable to a container having an active liquid, and a venturi arrangement located in line with the first fluid path. The venturi arrangement is adapted to introduce fluid from the second fluid path into the first fluid path.
Claims16
A sprayer for attachment to a hose, the sprayer comprising:
- an inlet configured for introducing fluid into the sprayer;
- an outlet configured for discharging fluid from the sprayer;
- a first controller to control the flow of fluid from the inlet to the outlet;
- a first fluid path located between the first controller and the outlet;
- a second fluid path fluidly connectable to a container having an active liquid;
- and
- a venturi arrangement located in line with the first fluid path wherein the venturi arrangement further comprises:
- a convergent section arranged to receive the fluid from the inlet and converge the received fluid towards a throat section followed by a divergent section that conveys the fluid from the throat section to the outlet, the venturi arrangement being further adapted to introduce fluid from the second fluid path into the throat section of the venturi arrangement thereby introducing the active liquid into the first fluid path;
- and
- a bypass path fluidly connected to the first fluid path before the venturi arrangement and after the venturi arrangement for allowing at least some of the fluid from the inlet to bypass the venturi arrangement and flow towards the outlet.
