A filter cartridge for liquid filtration includes a treatment media construction with a first end construction having a flexural member along its outer periphery. The flexural member is radially deflectable and can also deflect tangentially or axially. An interface member extends from the flexural member and is supported by an arm arrangement positioned radially outside a circumferential skirt. During installation, the filter cartridge is placed into a filter bowl and the bowl-cartridge combination is rotated less than 90 degrees to engage with a filter head. As the combination rotates, the flexural member deflects radially inward as the interface member slides along a projection in the filter head. When the interface member passes over the projection, the flexural member snaps back, producing an audible click to confirm proper installation. The first end construction also includes ramps that push a displaceable piece on the filter head from a blocking position to a clearance position during rotation, ensuring proper alignment and installation.
