Claims11
A pool cue holder apparatus, comprising:
- a base (2) configured to sit stably on a table or other horizontal surface, the base having a top side and defining an internal cavity, the base further including a coupling mechanism on the top side for attachments;
- at least one foldable arm (3) attached to the base (2) and extendable outward, the arm (3) having one or more concave impressions sized to hold a pool cue in an upright position;
- an interchangeable top attachment removably securable to the base (2) via the coupling mechanism, the top attachment providing an auxiliary utility function in addition to holding pool cues;
- wherein the interchangeable top attachment (4) is selectable from a group of attachments including at least a mobile phone holder (5) and a chalk holder;
- and
- wherein the internal cavity of the base (2) is configured to house a counterweight for stability and is also adapted to optionally accommodate a rechargeable battery and wireless charging circuitry, such that inclusion of the battery and circuitry enables the apparatus to wirelessly charge a mobile phone supported by the apparatus, and omission of the battery and circuitry leaves the apparatus fully functional as a purely mechanical cue holder.
A pool cue holder apparatus, comprising:
- a base (2) having an upper surface and defining an internal cavity, the base (2) being adapted to stably support the apparatus on a table or bar top;
- at least one fold-out arm (3) connected to the base (2), the arm (3) being movable between a stored position alongside the base and a deployed position for holding a pool cue in an upright orientation;
- a phone holder (5) integrated with the base (2), the phone holder (5) being attached to the base via a hinge (6) and movable between a raised position, in which the phone holder (5) extends upward from the base to support a mobile phone at an angle, and a collapsed position, in which the phone holder (5) is folded down against the base (2);
- wherein, in the collapsed position, an exposed surface of the phone holder (5) lies flush with or slightly recessed in the upper surface of the base (2), forming a flat support platform for a mobile phone;
- and
- wherein the internal cavity of the base (2) is configured to house a counterweight for stability and is also adapted to accommodate a rechargeable battery and a wireless charging transmitter, such that when the battery and transmitter are present, a mobile phone placed on the flat support platform in the collapsed position is wirelessly charged, and when the battery and transmitter are absent, the apparatus remains fully functional as a cue holder and phone stand without any charging capability.
