Physiotherapy comb and method of activating the same

A physiotherapy comb comprising:

• a connecting portion defining a storage chamber;
• a first switching element disposed within the connecting portion;
• a comb body having a plurality of comb teeth and rotatably connected to the connecting portion about a rotational axis, wherein the comb body is movable between a first position and a second position with respect to the connecting portion;
• a physiotherapy element disposed within the comb body;
• and
• a second switching element disposed within the comb body and electrically connected to a circuit board,
• wherein the first switching element and the second switching element are positioned such that, in the first position, the first switching element and the second switching element are aligned to allow activation of the physiotherapy element, and
• wherein, in the second position, the first switching element and the second switching element are spaced apart to disable the physiotherapy element.

A method of activating a physiotherapy comb via mechanical motion, the method comprising:

• rotating a comb body, having a plurality of comb teeth, relative to a connecting portion about a rotational axis, from a second position to a first position;
• and
• aligning a first switching element, disposed within the connecting portion, with a second switching element, disposed within the comb body, to allow activation of a physiotherapy element;
• wherein the physiotherapy comb comprises:
• the connecting portion defining a storage chamber and comprising the first switching element;
• the comb body having the plurality of comb teeth and rotatably connected to the connecting portion about the rotational axis, and movable between the first position and the second position;
• the physiotherapy element is disposed within the comb body and configured to perform at least one of phototherapy, ultrasonic wave therapy, piezoelectric stimulation, hot or cold compress therapy, microcurrent stimulation, or vibration therapy;
• a circuit board disposed within the comb body and electrically connected to the physiotherapy element;
• and
• the second switching element is electrically connected to the circuit board,
• wherein, in the first position, the first switching element and the second switching element are aligned to allow activation of the physiotherapy element, and
• wherein, in the second position, the first switching element and the second switching element are spaced apart to disable the physiotherapy element.
