Abstract
A device and method for treating chronic cough are disclosed. The device generates electrical pulses directed to a region of the spinal cord column. The electrical pulses provide a neuromodulation to mitigate chronic cough. The method includes acquiring a pulse generator, and programming the pulse generator to generate the electrical pulses directed to the region of the spinal cord to provide the neuromodulation to mitigate the chronic cough.
Claims20
A device for treating at least one of refractory chronic cough (RCC), unexplained chronic cough (UCC), and idiopathic cough, the device comprising:
- a processing circuitry having non-transitory computer readable storage media storing instructions which, when executed by the processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to:
- generate electrical pulses directed to a region of the spinal cord column, the electrical pulses providing a neuromodulation to mitigate the at least one of refractory chronic cough (RCC), unexplained chronic cough (UCC), and idiopathic cough.
A method of treating at least one of refractory chronic cough (RCC), unexplained chronic cough (UCC), and idiopathic cough, the method comprising:
- acquiring a pulse generator configured for neuromodulation;
- and
- programming the pulse generator to generate electrical pulses directed to a region of the spinal cord, the electrical pulses providing the neuromodulation to mitigate at least one of refractory chronic cough (RCC), unexplained chronic cough (UCC), and idiopathic cough.
