Abstract
A weighted blanket includes a length of interlooped layered yarn arranged to form a weighted material. The length of interlooped layered yarn includes an outer tube integrally formed with one or more inner layers. The outer tube and the one or more inner layers extend longitudinally from a first end to a second end of the length of interlooped layered yarn. The length of interlooped layered yarn, without added weights, is configured to effectuate deep pressure therapy when placed over a body of a person. The interlooped layered yarn may form openings allowing airflow and may include knots at crossings that create pressure regions.
Claims20
A weighted blanket comprising:
- a length of yarn interlooped to form a weighted material;
- and
- the length of yarn comprising an outer tube integrally formed with one or more inner layers, the outer tube and the one or more inner layers together extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end of the length of yarn,
- wherein the length of yarn, without added weights, is configured as an interlooped yarn to effectuate deep pressure therapy to a person when the weighted blanket is placed over a body of the person.
A weighted blanket comprising:
- a length of interlooped layered yarn arranged to form a weighted material;
- and
- the length of the interlooped layered yarn comprising an outer tube integrally formed with one or more inner layers, the outer tube and the one or more inner layers together extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end of the length of the interlooped layered yarn,
- wherein the length of the interlooped layered yarn comprises a loop in which the first end and the second end are connected to each other, and wherein the length of the interlooped layered yarn, without added weights, is configured to effectuate deep pressure therapy when the weighted blanket is placed over a body of a person.
