A dosing plunger system for a precise dosing syringe assembly includes a plunger having a plunger rod and a repositionable locking clip. The locking clip slides longitudinally along the plunger rod without rotation to a selected position and comprises a gripping portion configured to be manually actuated between a locked configuration and a released configuration, one or more engagement features that engage the plunger rod in the locked configuration to prevent longitudinal movement of the locking clip relative to the plunger rod, and a stop surface sized to extend beyond an inner diameter of a proximal barrel entrance. When the plunger is advanced distally, the stop surface contacts an outer rim of the proximal entrance, limiting plunger travel and establishing a maximum dispensable volume. The locking clip is repeatedly repositionable without rotation to accommodate patient-specific dosing. The system is compatible with both prefilled syringes and syringes filled by aspiration.
A dosing plunger system for a precise dosing syringe assembly having a barrel formed by a cylindrical body with an interior chamber configured to contain a total volume of fluid, a distal end for dispensing the fluid contained in the interior chamber, and a proximal entrance having an outer rim, the system comprising:
A syringe assembly for pre-setting a precise fluid dose comprising:
A method of preparing and administering a precise fluid dose using a syringe assembly, the method comprising:
