Abstract
A connecting piece for connecting a blood pump to a mass transfer unit comprises an elastic hose element having an inflow connection, which in particular can be attached to the pressure connector of a blood pump, and a discharge connection, which in particular can be attached to the blood inlet port of a mass transfer unit, wherein, proceeding from the inflow connection, the hose element comprises a hose section ascending in height, which transitions via an elbow into a hose section descending in height, the end of which is formed by the discharge connection, and wherein a removal channel is disposed in the elbow, in particular at the highest point thereof.

A connecting piece for connecting a blood pump to a mass transfer unit comprising an elastic hose element having an inflow connection configured to be attached to pressure connector of a blood pump and a discharge connection configured to be attached to a blood inlet port of a mass transfer unit wherein, proceeding from the inflow connection the hose element comprises a first hose section ascending in height, which transitions via an elbow into a second hose section descending in height, the end of which is formed by the discharge connection a removal channel being disposed in the elbow at a highest point thereof.
