Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a pharmaceutical formulation including lanosterol, a derivative thereof, and cyclodextrin. The pharmaceutical formulation, according to an aspect, exhibits enhanced water solubility and absorption in the body, and thus has the effect of increasing bioavailability.

A pharmaceutical formulation comprising:
- a compound represented by Formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- and
- a cyclodextrin derivative represented by Formula 2:
- wherein, in Formula 1, R1 to R10 are independently H, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted C2-C4 alkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted C2-C4 alkynyl, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkoxy, halogen, hydroxy, aldehyde, carboxy, amino, nitro, or cyano,
- in Formula 1 is
- and
- in Formula 2, n is 4, 5 or 6, and R11, R12, R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, R18, and R19 are independently-OH, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkoxy, or substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkylthio.

A method of preparing a formulation, the method comprising
- mixing a compound represented by Formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a cyclodextrin derivative represented by Formula 2:
- wherein, in Formula 1, R1 to R10 are independently H, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted C2-C4 alkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted C2-C4 alkynyl, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkoxy, halogen, hydroxy, aldehyde, carboxy, amino, nitro, or cyano,
- in Formula 1 is
- and
- in Formula 2, n is 4, 5 or 6, and R11, R12, R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, R18, and R19 are independently-OH, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkoxy, or substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkylthio.
