Drug-free, dietary supplement compositions to prevent or alleviate pain in mammals, in particular muscle and joint pain, joint discomfort, and/or joint stiffness are provided. The compositions can include a combination of Tamarindus indicia seed extract, Curcuma longa rhizome extract, and Cucumis sativus algae extract. The compositions can be in the form of a compressed tablet.
