Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for enhancing cannabinoid content in cannabis leaves through repeated steam-cooking and cooling cycles, followed by freeze-drying. This process significantly increases cannabinoid concentrations, making previously underutilized cannabis leaves commercially viable for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and dietary applications.
Claims7
A method for enhancing cannabinoid content in cannabis leaves, comprising:
- steam-cooking cannabis leaves for a duration ranging from 10 to 120 minutes;
- cooling the steam-cooked cannabis leaves for a duration ranging from 5 to 120 minutes;
- repeating the steam-cooking and cooling steps sequentially for at least 2 cycles;
- and
- freeze-drying the cannabis leaves after the completion of the repeated steam-cooking and cooling steps.
