Abstract
Compositions, kits, systems, and methods for reducing viability of cancer cells and treating cancer, as well as reducing a volume of a tumor and/or preventing an increase in volume of a tumor present in a body of a living subject, are disclosed. The systems and methods involve application of an alternating field in combination with administration of at least one composition comprising at least one BET inhibitor.
Claims20
A method of reducing viability of cancer cells, the method comprising the steps of:
- (1) administering at least one composition to the cancer cells, wherein the at least one composition comprises at least one bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) inhibitor;
- and
- (2) applying an alternating electric field to the cancer cells for a period of time.
A method of treating cancer in a subject, the method comprising the steps of:
- (1) administering at least one composition to the subject, wherein the at least one composition comprises at least one BET inhibitor;
- and
- (2) applying an alternating electric field to a target region of the subject.
A combination treatment comprising an alternating electric field and at least one composition comprising at least one BET inhibitor.
