Abstract
This document provides methods and materials related to hair care. For example, hair care compositions containing one or more quaternized polysiloxanes, one or more zwitterionic surfactants, one or more anionic surfactants, one or more botanical compounds, one or more amino acids, one or more vitamins, or any combination thereof as well as methods for using such hair care compositions are provided.

A hair care composition comprising:
- i) a cleansing surfactant comprising an anionic surfactant;
- ii) a silicone wherein an average particle size of the silicone is from 50 nm to 800 nm;
- and
- iii) a compound comprising a silicone polymer, a quaternary ammonium group, and a polyether,
- wherein a weight ratio of the amount of the silicone to the amount of the compound is from 3:1 to 20:1.

A hair care composition comprising:
- i) from 3 to 10 wt % of a cleansing surfactant comprising at least sodium lauryl sulphate;
- ii) from 0.5 to 1 wt % of a silicone, wherein the silicone comprises dimethiconol;
- and
- iii) from 0.05 to 0.5 wt % of a compound comprising a silicone polymer, a quaternary ammonium group, and a polyether;
- wherein a weight ratio of the amount of the silicone to the amount of the compound is from 3:1 to 16:1.
