Abstract
Various embodiments disclosed relate to a cosmetic formulation. The present disclosure includes a cosmetic formulation with high Longwear and good shine intensity. A formulation may include a discontinuous water phase. A formulation may include a continuous oil phase comprising: a film former comprising an MQ resin in an amount of 5% to 10% of the formulation; and an emollient system having a first component with a refractive index of at least 1.40, wherein the formulation subsequent to application to a surface demonstrates Longwear of at least 24 hours, and wherein the formulation subsequent to application to the surface demonstrates a shine intensity of at least 30 when measured by glossmeter at six hours subsequent to application to the surface.
Claims20
A cosmetic formulation comprising a water in oil emulsion for application to an integument, wherein the cosmetic formulation comprises:
- a discontinuous water phase;
- and
- a continuous oil phase comprising:
- a film former comprising an MQ resin in an amount of 5% to 10% of the formulation;
- and
- an emollient system having a first component with a refractive index of at least 1.40;
- wherein the formulation subsequent to application to a surface demonstrates Longwear of at least 24 hours, and
- wherein the formulation subsequent to application to the surface demonstrates a shine intensity of at least 30 when measured by glossmeter at six hours subsequent to application to the surface.
A cosmetic formulation comprising a water in oil emulsion for application to an integument, wherein the cosmetic formulation comprises:
- An oil phase comprising:
- a film former comprising an MQ resin, the film former in an amount of 5.0% to 10.0% of the formulation;
- and
- an emollient system having the emollient system being in an amount of 15.0% to 45.0% of the formulation, the emollient system including a first component with a refractive index of at least 1.40, a second component, and optionally a third component;
- a thickener in an amount of 1.5% to 5.0% of the formulation;
- pigments in an amount of 10.0% to 20.0% of the formulation;
- an absorbent powder in an amount of 1.5% to 5.0% of the formulation;
- and
- an emulsifier in an amount of 2.0% to 8.0% of the formulation;
- and
- a water phase in an amount of 10.0% to 25.0% of the formulation.
