Absorbent article with laminate bond pattern

An absorbent article comprising:

• a topsheet;
• a backsheet;
• an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet;
• and
• at least one elastic ear comprising a laminate having an elastomeric layer and a nonwoven layer,
• wherein the laminate has a plurality of discrete primary ultrasonic bonds and a plurality of secondary ultrasonic bonds, wherein the elastomeric layer and the nonwoven layer remain permanently attached by the primary ultrasonic bonds and releasably attached by the secondary ultrasonic bonds;
• wherein the plurality of discrete primary ultrasonic bonds and the plurality of secondary ultrasonic bonds have different bond sized, as measured by Bond Dimension Test Method;
• and
• wherein the secondary ultrasonic bonds are configured to release when the laminate is extended in a stretch direction.

An absorbent article comprising:

• a topsheet;
• a backsheet;
• an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet;
• and
• at least one component comprising a laminate having an elastomeric layer and a nonwoven layer,
• wherein the laminate comprises a plurality of discrete primary ultrasonic bonds and a plurality of secondary ultrasonic bonds,
• wherein the elastomeric layer and the nonwoven layer remain permanently attached by the primary ultrasonic bonds and releasably attached by the secondary ultrasonic bonds,
• wherein the plurality of discrete primary ultrasonic bonds and the plurality of secondary ultrasonic bonds have different bond sized, as measured by Bond Dimension Test Method;
• wherein the plurality of primary ultrasonic bonds form one or more closed cell units;
• and
• wherein the plurality of secondary ultrasonic bonds are configured to release when the laminate is extended in a stretch direction.
