Abstract
A hinge assembly for an orthopedic device includes first and second hinge arms having cooperating geared profiles and a plate arranged to retain end portions of the hinge arms relative to one another. A removable stop is secured relative to the hinge assembly and is arranged to limit rotation of the first hinge arm relative to the second hinge arm at a selected limit of motion. In some embodiments, the removable stop is one of a plurality of removable stops of a stop kit. Each removable stop is configured to be removably secured relative to the hinge assembly and to establish a selected limit of motion, with at least two of the removable stops defining different selected limits of motion.
