Abstract
The present invention comprises a sterilizing wrap system comprising a base having a support surface and a first sealing surface spaced from the support surface, the support surface supports at least one object requiring sterilization. A wrap is sized to engage the first sealing surface of the base to define a volume encompassing the support surface and the spaced first sealing surface of the base. A first seal maintains a sealed interface between the wrap and the first sealing surface.

A sterilizing wrap system comprising:
- a base having a first surface configured to support at least one object requiring sterilization, a dependent skirt, and a second surface opposite the first surface, the base removably attachable to one of a pedestal, a transfer cart, or a set of legs, wherein at least one of the first surface, the dependent skirt, and the second surface have a first sealing surface;
- and
- a wrap sized to overlie the first surface of the base to define a volume encompassing the first surface and the first sealing surface of the base, where the wrap is configured to be sealed along the first sealing surface of the base to form an enclosed area having a venting pass through area.
A method of packaging objects for sterilization comprising:
- placing at least one object requiring sterilization on a support surface of a base, wherein the base has a second surface opposite the support surface, and a first sealing surface spaced from the support surface, the base being removably attachable to one of a pedestal, a transfer cart, or a set of legs;
- deploying a wrap over the support surface and the first sealing surface of the base to define a volume encompassing the support surface and the first sealing surface of the base;
- and
- sealing the wrap along the first sealing surface of the base with a first seal to form an enclosed area having a venting pass through area.
