Abstract
The innovative catheter-based system comprises a catheter able to map, ablate, and/or to deliver at least a therapeutic agent into at least a target area of a cardiac tissue. The catheter includes a therapeutic ablator device disposed in a distal portion of the catheter, the therapeutic ablator device comprises: a drug delivery portal, able to locally release a drug; and a plurality of railings arranged symmetrically and parallel to the drug delivery portal. A catheter-based system comprises a catheter able to map, ablate, and/or to deliver at least a therapeutic agent into at least a target area of a cardiac tissue,
- wherein the catheter includes a therapeutic ablator device disposed in a distal portion of the catheter
- wherein the therapeutic ablator device comprises:
- a drug delivery portal, able to drug locally released;
- a plurality of railings arranged symmetrically and parallel to the drug delivery portal.
The method of claim 17, wherein the step of inserting is preceded by a step of mapping to identify the target area.
The method of claim 17, wherein the step of propagating electrical impulses in the target area is able to create at least a temporary pore in a cell membrane of at least a cell of the cardiac tissue in the target area, by emitting pulses of low-voltage energy through a plurality of electrodes.
