Abstract
A surface cleaning apparatus has a surface cleaning head having a first dirty air inlet, a second dirty air inlet and an agitation member associated with the first dirty air inlet. A first air flow path extends from the first dirty air inlet to a downstream conduit. A second air flow path extends from the second dirty air inlet to the downstream conduit wherein, in operation to clean a surface wherein air flows through the second dirty air inlet, the second air flow path has a width in a direction transverse to a direction of air flow through the second air flow path. A downstream air flow path extends from the downstream conduit to a clean air outlet with an air treatment member and a suction motor positioned in the downstream air flow path, wherein the width is variable.
Claims19
A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- a surface cleaning head having a first dirty air inlet, a second dirty air inlet and an agitation member associated with the first dirty air inlet;
- a first air flow path extending from the first dirty air inlet to a downstream conduit;
- a second air flow path extending from the second dirty air inlet to the downstream conduit wherein, in operation to clean a surface wherein air flows through the second dirty air inlet, the second air flow path has a width in a direction transverse to a direction of air flow through the second air flow path;
- a downstream air flow path extending from the downstream conduit to a clean air outlet with an air treatment member and a suction motor positioned in the downstream air flow path,
- wherein the width is variable.
A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- a surface cleaning head having a first dirty air inlet, a second dirty air inlet and an agitation member associated with the first dirty air inlet;
- a first air flow path extending from the first dirty air inlet to a downstream conduit;
- a second air flow path extending from the second dirty air inlet to the downstream conduit;
- a downstream air flow path extending from the downstream conduit to a clean air outlet with an air treatment member and a suction motor positioned in the downstream air flow path,
- wherein each for the first and second air flow paths is selectively closeable.
A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- a surface cleaning head having a first dirty air inlet;
- and,
- an air flow path extending from the dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet with an air treatment member and a suction motor positioned in the downstream air flow path,
- wherein the dirty air inlet is positioned between a pair of opposed walls and one of the walls is moveable between a first position in which the dirty air inlet has a first width and a second position in which the dirty air inlet has a second width that is greater than the first width.
