A mixing attachment includes a mixing body for coupling to a drinking tube and an inlet body coupled to the mixing body and including an outlet, an inlet for coupling to an additive receptacle for receiving additive substance therefrom, a channel within the inlet body and fluidly connecting the inlet to the mixing body via the outlet for passage of the additive substance therethrough, and at least one valve within the inlet body to at least prevent backflow of the additive substance out of the inlet. In some embodiments, a mixing system comprises the mixing attachment, the drinking tube (e.g., a straw) and the additive receptacle. The mixing system provides a self-contained, adjustable mixing mechanism that enables precise control of supplement flow during consumption, eliminating the need for pre-mixing while ensuring optimal dosing.
