Sole with horizontal and vertical damping function

A sole for a shoe comprising:

• an elastic midsole (1), wherein the midsole (1) comprises several channels (41, 42, 43), which extend in a transverse direction (Q) of the midsole (1) and which are arranged one behind the other in a longitudinal direction (L) of the midsole (1), wherein the channels (41, 41′, 42, 43) or at least a portion of the channels each comprise
• a main longitudinal axis (411, 411′, 421), along which the channels (41, 41, 42, 43) each extend from their respective rear boundary to their respective front boundary in such a way that lateral-side and/or medial-side openings of the channels narrow along the main longitudinal axis (411, 411′) from a rear boundary (414, 414′) to a front boundary (413, 413′);
• wherein at least some of the channels are arranged in a heel area (FB) and include a drop-shaped contour along the cross sectional plane in the longitudinal direction (L) of the midsole (1) and perpendicular to the transverse direction (Q) of the midsole (1), wherein the drop-shaped contour comprises an isosceles triangle having two legs and a base, and the drop-shaped contour further comprises a circular segment connected to the base of the isosceles triangle, wherein the circular segment of the drop shape is arranged closer to a base surface of the midsole and closer to a heel edge of the midsole than the isosceles triangle of the respective drop shape, and wherein the isosceles triangle of the respective drop shape is arranged closer to a top surface of the midsole and closer to a sole tip of the midsole than the circular segment of the respective drop shape.
