Abstract
A pest control device may include at least one light-emitting diode (LED) light, the LED light having a wavelength of between 300 nm and 600 nm. A pest control device may include a controller configured to periodically cycle the LED light between on and off with a cycling frequency, the cycling frequency at least 40 Hz. A pest control device may include a pest collector.
Claims20
A pest control device, comprising:
- at least one light-emitting diode (LED) light, the LED light having a wavelength of between 300 nm and 600 nm;
- a controller configured to periodically cycle the LED light between on and off with a cycling frequency, the cycling frequency at least 40 Hz;
- and
- a pest collector.
1 more element
A method for pest control, the method comprising:
- lighting a light-emitting diode (LED) light for a light period, the LED light having a wavelength of between 300 nm and 600 nm;
- and
- cycling the LED light off for a dark period, the light period and the dark period combining to form a cycling frequency of at least 40 Hz.
A pest control device, comprising:
- a base;
- a light strip supported by the base, the light strip including at least one light-emitting diode (LED) light emitting light in an ultraviolet frequency;
- a microcontroller configured to cycle the plurality of LED lights between on and off with a cycling frequency, the cycling frequency at least 40 Hz with a duty cycle of approximately 75%;
- a pest collector;
- and
- a shield connected to the base.
