This disclosure relates to a poultry feeder 1; 100. The poultry feeder comprises: a base 7 having a peripheral wall in which a feed port 15; 102 is provided, and a funnel 9 provided within an internal void defined by the base. The funnel has distal and proximal open ends, said distal open end being lowermost when the feeder is in use. The funnel and the base co-operate to define a channel 29 through which feed can flow from the funnel and into a feed area 31 between the base and the open distal end of the funnel. A distal end region 33 of the funnel is flared in a radially outward direction to form an angular circumferential flange that extends away from the distal end of the funnel towards the feed port provided in the peripheral wall of the base, the flange being operable to obstruct poultry from reaching into the feed channel to pull feed from the funnel into the feed area.
A poultry feeder comprising:
A poultry feeder comprising a stand on which the feeder may be mounted, wherein the feeder includes a first part of a two-part locating system, and the stand includes a second part of said two-part locating system, wherein the first and second parts of said locating system have shapes that are complementary to one another so that the two parts of said locating system can be mated together to mount the feeder on the stand, the locating system being configured so that the feeder can be rotated through 360 degrees to any desired orientation relative to the stand when the feeder is supported on the stand with the first and second parts of the two-part locating system mated together.
A poultry feeder having a hopper, a lid for closing an open end of the hopper, and a handle coupled at diametrically opposite points to said hopper, wherein the lid further comprises a rib that is operable—when the lid closes the open end of the hopper—to brace opposite ends of said handle and resist movement of said handle ends towards one another when the feeder is hung from the handle.
